Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center and Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View launched the health systems integrated clinical information system on Sunday, August 5. ConnectCare enables health care providers to access a patient’s medical data in a single electronic health record (EHR).
Bon Secours ConnectCare, powered by Epic, links all VOSS patient medical information, including medical history, allergies, test results and medications, in one secure and confidential electronic record. The VOSS care team has access to all treatment plans and safety alerts, ensuring continuity of care throughout a patient’s life.
Medical staff will receive lab and x-ray results faster, improving the quality of care for all patients. The system will allow across-the-board consistency in patient records and reduction or elimination of unnecessary duplication of effort. Electronic health records allow for faster documentation time, thereby increasing productivity among caregiver teams.
