Dr. Shawn Wilson is a fellowship-trained hand surgeon specializing in injuries of the wrist and hand, sports injuries of the hand and wrist, and upper extremity trauma. He received his Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a Master of Science in pharmacology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana and his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University, DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. Dr. Wilson completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University affiliated Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan and a hand surgery fellowship at Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery, University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Association for Hand Surgery, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. He was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he received an Eagle Scout award, developed a liking for water sports, the outdoors, live music, and Cajun food. During his free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
